MACKAGE AT MENDOCINO CONTEST
(the “Sweepstakes”)
OFFICIAL RULES
HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Sweepstakes begins on September 2, 2014 and ends on September 30, 2014 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). All entries must be received during regular business hours. The Sweepstakes is run by Mendocino (the “Sponsor”). To enter, visit any at one (1) of our seven (7) Mendocino store locations during regular business hours and obtain an entry form (“Official Entry Form”) from the cashier during store hours. Store locations and business hours can be found at HYPERLINK "https://www.mendocino.ca" www.mendocino.ca. Before the end of the Sweepstakes Period, hand-print all required information on the Official Entry Form, including your answer to the mathematical skill-testing question and then deposit it in the ballot box provided. You will also be required to confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Official Rules by checking the mandatory box on the Official Entry Form. If you have not checked this box indicating that you agree to the Official Rules, you will not be eligible to win a prize in this Sweepstakes. Entries must be completed and submitted by the entrant him/herself. Only original, hand-printed entries on Official Entry Forms will be eligible; no photocopies or other reproductions. All fields on the Official Entry Form are mandatory, unless indicated as optional. Limit: one (1) entry per person per day. If Official Entry Forms are no longer available, you may enter by hand-printing your name, complete address, daytime telephone number and date of entry as well as your answer to the skill-testing question on an approximately 4" x 6" plain piece of paper, sign the paper and submit it as instructed.
PRIZES: There are a total of seven (7) prizes available to be won (each or collectively, the “Prize or Prizes”, as outlined below:
Grand Prize: One (1) LORYN Mackage purse to be won at each Mendocino store location totaling seven (7) purses.
Prizes will only be delivered to verified winners. Limit: one (1) Prize per person. Prizes are not transferable and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions in cash or otherwise, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a Prize of equivalent or greater monetary value if Sponsor is unable to award any Prize as described. Sponsor disclaims any warranty, representation or guarantee express or implied by fact or in law relative to any Prize, including but not limited to its quality and condition.
DRAWING: On or about October 1, 2014, a random drawing will be conducted from all entries received. To be declared a winner, a selected entrant must have correctly answered, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, the mathematical skill-testing question printed on the Official Entry Form. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted within 10 business days, fails to correctly answer the skill testing question, or otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules, the Prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate entrant who will be subject to disqualification in the same manner. The selected entrants will be notified by telephone at the telephone number provided on the Official Entry Form. Odds of winning will depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible, you must be a legal resident of Ontario and eighteen (18) years of age or older at the start of the Sweepstakes Period. You are not eligible if you are: a) an employee, officer, director, representative or agent of Sponsor, its affiliates, advertising or promotional agencies, or any other party responsible for administration of this Sweepstakes; or b) a member of the immediate family (defined as parent, child, sibling or spouse, regardless of where they live) or household of any of the above persons (whether related or not).
RELEASES, ETC.: By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its advertising and promotional agencies, the affiliates and related companies of the foregoing, and their respective directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability in connection with this Sweepstakes and the Prize. Before being declared a winner, Prize claimants may be required to sign a Declaration of Compliance with these Official Rules and a Release of Liability (collectively, the “Declaration and Release Documents”) with respect to the foregoing. Declaration and Release Documents must be returned by the date indicated on the documents or the Prize may be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate entrant who will be subject to disqualification in the same manner.
MISCELLANEOUS: All decisions of Sponsor are final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Entrants who have not complied with these Official Rules are subject to disqualification. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Entries submitted by third parties and any entries or prize claims that are late, lost, stolen, incomplete, fraudulent, illegible, unidentified or delayed will be void. If, for any reason, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Sweepstakes, in whole or in part, without notice or obligation.
Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Persons found to be abusing any aspect of this Sweepstakes or the entry process, or otherwise not displaying sportsmanlike conduct, will be disqualified from this Sweepstakes, and may be disqualified from any future sweepstakes or promotion offered by Sponsor. ANY ATTEMPT TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Should a winner make any false statement(s) in any document referenced above, the winner will be required to promptly return to Sponsor his/her prize, or the cash value thereof.
PRIVACY: Sponsor and its authorized agents will collect, use, and disclose the personal information you provide when you enter the Sweepstakes for the purposes of administering the Sweepstakes and prize fulfillment. By entering this Sweepstakes, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information by Sponsor and its authorized agents for this purpose.
By accepting a prize, the winner consents to the Sponsor’s use of his/her names address, voice, statements, photograph, image or other likeness for publicity purposes without further notice or compensation.
